One Way Deliverance Ministries – Baton Rouge, Louisiana

We serve over 350 families per month. (Due to economic disparity, lack of employment & low income, over 500 families are now being served per month. This is updated information as of March 2010.) 95% of our cliients are African-American, 3% are Latinos and 2% are Caucasian. Within those family structures are elderly individuals and children. Our Food Bank operates every Tuesday and Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is sponsored mainly through by the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. We provide non-perishable can goods, grocery items, household items, etc. Each month we see this need growing larger and stretching wider.

Our goal and our mission is to alleviate hunger, even if it occurs one person and/or family at a time, while at the same time, promoting a healthier lifestyle for the community at large and teaching the skills needed for good nutrition.
